WeVideo

Learning how to use WeVideo was a fun experience. I had never done any video editing before this week, so I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I learned the skills necessary to make a decently professional looking video. I also enjoyed that this tool allowed me to use my creativity to make a parody of the opening credits to a spoof PBS costume drama.

In the past, I had avoided making videos for class projects because I assumed the editing process would be arduous. Learning to work with WeVideo has helped me realize that it’s possible to make videos without much experience. I am sure I can help someone else learn how to use WeVideo. Though, I found it helpful to just try different features because most were intuitive.

I found the ability to vary the audio level interesting because it’s very simple to customize your audio levels. However, the controls for editing text are rather limited. I also had problems with the screen lagging as I tried to edit the text.

I would like to learn more about the process of recording video or uploading video. For simplicity’s sake, I made my video with stock footage from WeVideo, but I’d like to learn more about uploading and editing self-recorded video.
